All trains in Bangladesh have several types of seats or coach classes. While buying tickets, especially when buying tickets online, while choosing the seat class, many people do not understand the type of seat or the special benefits of that seat. Many people may not know the full form of the seat class code or what the seat is like or what are the advantages and disadvantages. This article is for them. Here the details of the seat or coach class type in different trains of Bangladesh are given below.

SHOVAN: The full name is Shovan. Non AC decorated class chair seat. All mail trains and some intercity trains in the country have luxury seats. This seat is the least expensive seat in the train and not comfortable.

S_CHAIR: Full name is Shovan Chair. Non AC These second class upholstered chair seats are available in almost all intercity trains. Sobhan chair rent is more than Sobhan. The seat is fairly comfortable. A fancy chair is a better seat than a fancy one.

SNIGDHA: The full name is Snigdha. Also known as AC Chair. AC coach chair seat. Most if not all intercity trains in the country have Snigdha coaches on most popular destination trains. The seat is more comfortable than an ornamental chair. Traveling is also comfortable as the entire coach is AC.

AC_B: Full name is AC Berth. Air conditioned cabin. This class is available only in night trains. There are 2 or 4 seater cabins. Long distance intercity night trains of Bangladesh have these cabins. The most comfortable and expensive seat in the trains of Bangladesh.

AC_S: Full name is AC Seat. Air conditioned seats. Basically AC Berth (AC_B) cabins are used as AC seats during daytime journeys.

Tips for buying train tickets

It is better not to buy Shobhan ticket for long distance train travel. As the seats are not comfortable, the long journey will become difficult for you. On top of that, there are more standing people in Shobhan coaches and the atmosphere is not so good.

If you want to travel by train in a less expensive and comfortable seat, then the Shovan Chair (Non AC) seat will be the best. The cost will be less and the seat will be comfortable.

Snigdha is best considering AC coaches and low cost.

At night the cabins are used as seats during the day. But sitting in the cabin is a bit difficult. As such, during the day it will be comfortable to travel in the Sobhan chair or Snigdha instead of going to Non AC First Class Seat (F_SEAT) or AC Seat (AC_S).

If traveling with family and want privacy then it is better to book whole cabin for day or night.
