অভাবজনিত লক্ষণ:
যদিও সালফার এবং নাইট্রোজেনের অভাবের লক্ষণগুলো দেখতে একই রকম, সালফারের অভাবজনিত লক্ষণ গাছের কচি পাতায় দেখা যায়, যখন পুরোনো পাতাগুলো সবুজ থাকে।
প্রাথমিকভাবে, ধান গাছের পাতার খোল হলুদ হয়ে যায় এবং এই লক্ষণটি ধীরে ধীরে পাতায় দেখা যায়।

Symptoms of Deficiency:
Although the symptoms of sulfur and nitrogen deficiency appear similar, sulfur deficiency manifests in the younger leaves of the plant, while the older leaves remain green.
Initially, the leaf sheaths of rice plants turn yellow, and this symptom gradually spreads to the leaves themselves.
In advanced stages, the entire plant loses its chlorophyll—meaning the leaves turn yellow—which disrupts the plant’s ability to produce food. Consequently, the plant’s height decreases, and the number of tillers (shoots) is reduced. The tillers that do form tend to be stunted, and the number of grains per tiller declines. Ultimately, this leads to a reduction in yield.
Application Method:
It can be mixed with other fertilizers and broadcast over the seedlings, or it can be applied as a spray by dissolving it in water.
It can also be used during the plant’s growth phase.
