What should be your / my eating habits to stay healthy during Ramadan?

Say no to fried food
At the beginning, I would like to say, be strict about not eating fried food. Bengalis like to eat fried food as a breakfast. During the month of Ramadan, the value of fried food increases even more as an iftar. But many people do not know what problems can arise if they eat fried food regularly during iftar, especially during the heat.

Due to fasting, many fasting people may experience dehydration. Therefore, eating fried food after a long time as an iftar is harmful to their health. Fried food is one of the causes of heart disease and stroke.

Many fried foods are mixed with excess sugar and salt, which can increase blood sugar levels and blood pressure. Excessive consumption of chemicals or colors that are added to make fried food attractive increases the risk of cancer.

Deep-fried foods are high in calories, saturated and trans fats, which increase the risk of heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. In many cases, weight gain causes various physical problems. Absorbing excess oil in these foods can cause heartburn and digestive problems.

Iftar Items

Iftar food should be easy to digest and less oily and spicy. Because, due to not eating for a long time, eating heavy and spicy food can cause digestion problems and can cause physical complications. For that, you can start iftar by putting a date in your mouth.

After that, you should drink pure drinking water little by little. You can drink coconut water, lemon water, seasonal fruit juice. You can mix them with tokmadana, chia seeds, isabgul husk, and linseed.

Instead of fried or roasted chickpeas, you can mix sprouted chickpeas with cucumber, tomato, lemon, and two to three cloves of raw garlic. You can make Haleem with two to three types of pulses and chicken and eat it with less spices.

You can also eat red chira, oats, and barley with sour yogurt. You can mix it with any blended seasonal fruit. You can also make soup by mixing various seasonal vegetables and chicken. You can make faluda with sabudana and semolina with milk, or make milk-egg pudding.

Dinner
During the month of Ramadan, many people eat food directly at Sahur without eating at night, this habit is not right. At other times, the amount of food that is eaten at breakfast should be eaten at night. Eat foods that are easily digested at this time.

Such as red flour bread or rice, lentils, vegetables, greens, fish or meat or eggs, etc. You can eat vegetable and chicken mix soup. It will also be good to make a smoothie by blending a little oats, red chira, barley and dates with milk. It is good to eat sour curd after dinner, which helps in rebuilding damaged cells.

Foods for Sahri
The food for Sahri will be the same as lunch at other times. You should eat food that stays in your stomach for a long time and is digested slowly. Many people think that since you have to fast all day, eating too much during Sahri will not make you hungry during the day, which is not true at all.

Because, after four to five hours, the food goes from the stomach to the intestines and is digested. Therefore, it is better not to eat more than necessary, there is a risk of harm if you eat too much.

At this time, the diet can include red flour bread, rice (red rice is better) with lentils, a cup of vegetables, fish or meat or eggs.

Now, coming to the quantity, take a standard plate and divide it into four parts and fill two parts with mixed vegetables, the remaining two parts will be rice or bread, and the other part will be protein-based foods (fish, meat, eggs, etc.).

A glass of lukewarm milk should be kept in Sahri. If you want, you can also eat red lentils or oats with milk.
